Reclaiming Screens
Avoid Ghosts and Haze
Scrap heavy ink out of screen.
Remove tape from screen.
Spray Ulano #4 stencil remover on bottom (print side) of screen. Allow #4 to sit for about 2 minutes. Do not let #4 to dry on screen. The stencil should discolor and start to melt.
Brush lightly with a plastic bristle scrub brush on the bottom of the screen to loosen the stencil.
Stand the screen up and run water down the screen. Spray and brush lightly with #4 any areas where the stencil did not wash out. The objective is to remove all stencil material before removing the ink.
Spray BEAN-e-doo on a cloth and wipe the ink from the screen.
Spray BEAN-e-doo directly into the screen. Brush lightly with a 2nd plastic bristle scrub brush on both sides of the screen to loosen up any remaining ink.
Spray water into the screen. The screen should be clean of all ink and stencil material. There should be no ghosts or haze!
